Passportamore.com is a sneak peak into our world of travel, culture and the adventures in our lives.

Our little blue passport has taken us to far away places and given my family life-changing experiences that we want to share, inspire and encourage you all, with our stories, lessons, strategies and great travel tips.
Mom-Daughter Travel
My daughter Janine and I will be there to inspire the newbie traveler, the less experienced, the single mom, the recently retired, solo and family groups that hopefully will learn our best travel tips, strategies ways to save and a heads up on things not to miss or what to avoid on a trip.
My life changed as I was selected as a U.S. Department of State – English Language fellow.
So in 2022, my daughter Janine and I packed our bags and headed to train English teachers, empower university students, speak at conferences, work with government officials and spread public diplomacy in a small coastal province in south-central Vietnam.
We are just gettting started to spread our stories, while working as an English Language Fellow in Vietnam and throughout southeast Asia
Our blog and Janine’s social media will showcase how you can be very strategic, travel on a budget, if you desire, find the cheapest flights to the most interesting places, and have life-changing experiences.
You will learn how to decide on a destination; and most importantly how to open your mind, embrace the food, traditions and cultures of others and enjoy the world of travel!
My Son Started Us on the Road to Culture & Travel

Expect to see blog posts from my travel buddies, and stories about how culture first entered our lives; when my then 16-year old son Miles had a study abroad experience while in high school.
And how my son’s high school intercultural experience helped the whole family to become culturally savvy; along with Janine, over a decade ago; learning to speak the Thai language as a foreign exchange student during her junior year of high school.
And as a result, last year my daughter Janine met this YouTuber on the streets of Bangkok Thailand for a brief conversation in the native Thai language.

My Travel Style
Just to be clear, I’m not one of those digital nomads, (at least not yet). I did not quit my job, homeschool my kids or sell everything to travel the world. Nope, that’s surely not me. On the other hand, I’m also not a luxury traveler, with expensive luggage, staying in the penthouse of a 5-star American-style hotel… nor have I ever stayed in an all-inclusive resort.
Nope, that’s not me right now – but maybe someday!
But for now, I’m a sassy, brassy single mom, who recently returned back to USA — after 2 years (along with my daughter) of being selected to live and work in small town Vietnam as an English Language expert.
And. . , coming soon you will be able to read about our time in southeast Asia and about Janine’s adventures of living with me in Vietnam.
