Our Quick Change of Plans
Osda Guest House in the Latebiokoshie neighborhood was in our original plans, but we only were going to stay there for a day or two. Then we were to move on to another Accra hotel as we moved around Ghana. However, when we arrived at the Osda House from the airport, the hospitality, the grounds, we loved the area and everything was great right from the start.
My kids and I had all the comforts of home and it was located within a residential neighborhood that also gave us a sense of serenity, rather than being in the concrete downtown city of Accra.
The Osda House Home Lodge includes breakfast, if you desire, (although we left out too early most mornings for breakfast), bathroom inside each room, a common living room; free Wi-Fi and last but certainly not least well working air conditioning and generator (as electricity goes out in Accra often).
So this was our home for our entire two weeks. We traveled around Ghana with a driver for a few days and then returned back to the Osda House Home Lodge after our travels.
What it’s like at the Osda House?
All rooms in the Osda Guest House have a bathroom, shower & hot water. It is equipped with internet throughout and an area to have tea or coffee.
All Osda’s guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, laundry services and storage for your luggage, if needed.
A Great Location in the Suburbs of Accra
The guest house is located close to the Korlebu Teaching Hospital and not far from the Accra bus station. About 10 minutes away is the center of town and the beach. You will also find the Makola market for shopping and the historic lighthouse in Jamestown nearby.
The Front desk makes it easy to get an airport pickup or a taxi or uber when needed.
What I enjoyed most was the location with nearby residential homes and small shops within walking distance to the Osda Guest House.
